Maker equipment and resources

Our 15,000-foot makerspace—which operates first-come, first-served—offers cutting-edge tools and technology to help bring your ideas to life.

3D printer room with machines for fused deposition modeling (FDM) and stereo-lithography apparatus (SLA) printing
A laser-cutting room for prototyping using paper, wood, plastic, metal, and other materials
Digital documentation alcove to take professional photos of you and your projects
A woodworking shop for prototyping in wood and plastic, and using hand tools, and a separate shop outfitted with heavy-duty woodworking equipment
Workbenches for sewing, embroidery, and making jewelry
Wet lab makerspace for biological-and chemical-focused work
Spray room to paint your stuff and do carbon fiber layup work
Take an orientation and schedule trainings on the equipment

Gathering spaces

  • Ideation space

    This multifunctional common area provides a space to meet, eat, brainstorm, and enjoy views into the makerspace and robotics high bay.

    Fresh food, coffee, and other drinks will be available during breakfast and lunch hours. (Located on the second floor)

    There’s a deck area on the second floor with outdoor seating, while new green space alongside EXP leads up to the pedestrian bridge.

  • Faculty Club

    Previously located in Columbus Place, the Faculty Club here on the 8th floor includes an expanded capacity of 100 seats and is steps away from an outdoor roof deck.
